Leo Walravens is a contemporary photographer, Director of Photography (DOP), and filmmaker based in Southern Germany.
His creative path is rooted in a technically driven background in the event industry, where he developed an early understanding of visual composition, lighting, and live production. This technical foundation continues
to influence his precise, atmospheric visual language.
In 2022, Walravens founded his own company, unbunt, and has since worked independently as a videographer, event photographer, and DOP.
A key area of his expertise lies in live camera direction for concerts, where he orchestrates complex audiovisual productions in real time and maintains a unique sensitivity to the dynamics of music and performance.
His commercial work focuses on event documentation, marketing, and advertising. Brands, organizers, and artists value his ability to capture authentic moments with visual clarity, emotional intuition, and a strong sense of narrative flow.
Alongside his commissioned projects, Walravens dedicates his personal work to socially critical themes and the documentation of place and environment. His artistic practice explores social structures, urban spaces, and the quiet narratives embedded in landscapes and everyday surroundings. He merges cinematic perspective with photographic stillness—always seeking the point where observation meets emotion.
Whether in live production, documentary work, or conceptual image-making,
Walravens brings together technical professionalism and artistic intention to form a distinct and recognizable visual voice.

Stadtranderholung is a photo series that explores the suburban transitions from rural landscapes to urban space in the Munich metropolitan area. The project focuses on moments in between—where city and countryside overlap and blur. All images are shaped by the perspective of a bicycle ride, capturing fleeting impressions, movement, and the changing perception of space while passing through these transitional zones.
